About me

Hello and welcome to my page, my name is Hyro. I’m a content creator on Youtube focusing mainly on showcasing the best things to do here on my island of Aruba. My aim is to promote our island to the world and show that while it's small, it has so much to offer.

Travel is also a big passion of mine, so apart from the local videos I also make Travel Vlogs whenever that is possible. When Let’s go with Hyro was established in late 2018 the goal was not to visit every country in the world, but rather, build relationships with locals and have authentic travel experiences.

While my long-term plan was to also start making local (Aruba) videos, the Covid19 pandemic accelerated this plan to the point that most will now consider my Youtube content as an Aruba travel information channel these days.

Background

I was born and raised on the island of Aruba and growing up I had the fortune to travel a lot due to my father’s travel agency namely Aldo Travel which still exists today. Growing up in Aruba also meant that can I naturally speak four languages, English, Spanish, Dutch, and my native Papiamento.

As a travel consultant, I have completed several courses over the years and have also been on countless of famtrips in this region of the world. My work also involves doing tour guide duties to places like Disney World in Orlando, but also Las Vegas, Peru, and Japan to name a few.

Apart from the travel itself I also have a love for the aviation world and have that as a side hobby.
